Our Mission
Combating educational inequity through one tutoring session at a time.
Ever since Covid-19 hit in 2020, it has been especially difficult for BIPOC and low-income students to get educational resources, and unfortunately this struggle doesn’t get enough attention. Here at Hygge Tutoring we not only hope to bring awareness about this struggle, but to also combat this struggle with one tutoring session at time.
Why is Educational Equity Important?
Text prep books and tutoring costs money, making such resources inaccessible to low-income and specifically, low-income BIPOC students. Without getting help, students have a higher chance of falling behind in school which can can prevent the student from receiving higher learning after high school. Higher learning can provide a stable future for students and can break generational poverty, which is why educational equity is important.
